Holden's Barney Birthday Bash!

This past weekend we had Holden's big Barney birthday bash!!

I was lucky enough to find some garage sale gems [2 Barney pillows & a blanket] this summer for a whopping $.35 so they came in perfectly handy! Barney goodies are pretty much non-existent in stores so I ordered just about everything online.

Oh & I made my first character cake- I'm so dang proud. It even looks like Barney :)

Happy 2nd Birthday, Holden!

Wow! TWO years ago my sweet baby Holden joined our family making Henry a big brother and me a second time mom.

He has grown from a shy little baby to a talking toddler who can stand on his own against his big brother & has a love for his little sister that darn near turns me into a mommy puddle.

There isn't a day that goes by where I don't tell someone that he is my sweet Holden muffin. Feisty but oh so sweet & dimples that will be sure to melt some hearts in about 18 years :)

Happy 3rd Birthday, Henry!!

The moment that I found out I was pregnant with Henry, my life changed forever. I was a mom. Exactly what I had always dreamed of.

& the day he was born was more magical than I could have ever imagined. Now three [3!!!] years have passed.

Since then he has grown into the most adorable, caring, smart, compassionate, sassy, athletic and amazing three-year-old that I have ever met.

Happy birthday my sweet boy. You're more than I ever could have imagined!

Henry's 3rd Birthday Bash!!

We celebrated my wee baby boy's THIRD birthday this past weekend. These parties sure are getting more and more fun each year!!

Henry wanted a Spiderman/Baseball party so that is exactly what he got! Ryan & his dad mowed a baseball field into our backyard then spray painted the base lines. It was pretty awesome!!

This was the first year the 'birthday fairy' paid our house a visit while Henry was sleeping- white streamers on a white door isn't exactly exciting- but Henry loved it nonetheless!

& then it was party day!!! I only had a few breakdowns about my dad not being there and thankfully Henry wasn't around to see it. All in all we had an awesome day!!

My sisters rocked the boys' world with this!!!

Now we have one month until Holden's big BARNEY 2nd birthday bash! Let the planning begin :)

Dreams.

For the last couple days of my dad's life, I had pretty much moved back home so we could all take turns being in his room because we didn't want him to be alone.

On Friday morning, my sister woke from her sleep at 3am and had a feeling that she had to go check on my dad. That's when she found him struggling to breathe. She woke all of us up and we stayed him with until he took his last breath about an hour later.

Of course Ryan was home with the kids so I called him in complete hysterics a couple minutes after my dad passed. I'm actually surprised he could understand a word I said. Anyways, he called his parents and they hurried to our house [it was 4am] so Ryan could be with me and say goodbye to my dad before the funeral home took him out of the house.

**this is the cool dream part**

When he got to my parent's house he told me that when I called right after my dad passed, I woke him up from a dream where my dad was in his hospital bed at their house- he had just gotten out of his bed, completely fine & healthy saying he felt perfect and needed to stretch his legs.

I have asked Ryan a million times if he promises me that he isn't lying about the dream. He swears on the kids it's exactly as it happened.

So stinking cool I can't even stand it.

This Saturday is Henry's 3rd Spiderman/Baseball birthday bash. Excited doesn't even begin to describe it. The house isn't clean yet and nothing is ready so it will be a hectic couple days but it will all be 100% worth it!!
