Baby Bump~ 26 Weeks

Here we are again and I noticed that we have less than 100 days until Henry is here...Woo Hoo!!! :) Time is seriously flying!

My stomach has been very itchy the last few days so I am anticipating another "pop" soon.

Oh and a kinda funny story, I was on my way to the u/s the other day and I was itching like crazy so I was searching all over in the car for some lotion...well of course the only lotion I could find was suntan lotion so I lubed up with that. I smelled like summertime :)

And for your viewing pleasure...a few pictures of my cute son :)

Baby fingers!!! :)

Just Henry :)

Ryan and I got to go see our little Henry last night...it is crazy how much he has changed and how much we can actually see now...

He has my nose (poor kid) and lips and has Ryan's long fingers and toes :)

Giving us kisses :)

My favorite!

Evidence of my nose...

The cutest tootsies.ever.

All curled up.

I still have to go through over 100 pictures and the video that we got, so stay tuned for more pictures :)

Things That Make You Smile

So after a long day of sitting and watching baseball with Ryan and his parents this past weekend, I get a voicemail from Ryan's dad. It went something like this...

"Hey Jenny I just wanted to see how you are feeling today after sitting on the bleachers all day. You were a real trooper and I hope your husband recognizes that!"

It seriously made my whole day...and of course I started crying.

Baby Head???

Ryan and I went out of town for the weekend- he had alumni weekend for the college baseball team he played on. He loves going back and "showing off" his campus to me.

Anyways, so after a long day of watching baseball we were relaxing a bit in our hotel room before heading out for dinner and of course Henry was kicking away. So just for fun I started to feel around on my stomach to see if I could feel any baby parts (you know because he is 6 or 7 of the 8 pounds I have gained ;)), when all of a sudden I felt a little tiny hard ball. As soon as I pressed a little bit it moved.

Now I am crying at this point because I am pretty sure that I actually touched little Henry's head. I still can't believe it. Ryan and I have conversations all the time about how I seriously can't believe there is a little human in.my.stomach.

I'm not sure when this whole thing will become 100% real for me but touching his head sure got me closer :)

And this is what I see everyday...

And in other exciting news...we signed up for our birthing class this week. It isn't until June 27th but I am pretty excited. AND the best part...we didn't have to pay the $110 fee. Thank you State of MN for my Benny Card!

Update of Sorts

A few things to report since last week...

I had my 24 week appointment and I am up 8 pounds total. My dr was pretty happy that I have finally started to gain some weight. I am convinced Henry is already 6 or 7 of those 8 pounds :)
We go back in 4 weeks for my one hour glucose test...yipee.

We have made some nursery progress- I will have to post a few pictures later.

I am in serious need of new maternity pants...I have one pair of dress pants that will still work and one pair of jeans. I hate spending money on clothes I know I will only wear for a few more months but it has to be done. Good thing I am a serious bargain shopper and refuse to pay big bucks for clothes!

Oh and today is Ryan's birthday- Happy 29th Birthday, Soon-to-be-daddy!!!! :)

Baby Bump~ 24 Weeks...Viability Day!

Happy Viability Day, Henry!!!!
Woo hoo- we made it to 24 weeks! This means if our little Henry was born today, the NICU would try and save him and he would actually have a chance at making it. But I had a talk with him and he plans on staying put for at least another 14 weeks :)

And I am officially convinced that turtlenecks make my face look huge and fat :(

Wittle Shoes

I get to work today only to find these little cuties waiting for me on my desk. One of my very sweet co-workers thought they would be perfect for little Henry. I think she is right :)

Henry's New Blankie

I am in fully mommy-mode now so I have begun sewing/making goodies for my little Henry and his nursery.

Here is my first finished project...a taggie blankie.

Agnes apparently really likes it :)

I LOVE how it turned out.

More Henry Goodies

We have received many, many goodies from good friends and family. Here are a few more :)

My mom and sister have found all these bibs. He is set for the holidays :)

Baby Bump- 23 Weeks

Yet another week has passed and I feel like I am getting huge! And we still have 17 weeks to go- holy smokes!

Henry is a very, very active little boy. My favorite part of every day is right before I go to bed~ I get to lay there and watch my belly jump and dance all over the place. It is still crazy to me to really think that there is a little, wee one in there and he is alllll mine :)

Our Bedding Is Here!!!! :)

Eeeeeeeeeeeeee! I got home to find our baby bedding waiting for us on the door step. Of course I tore it open and started crying immedietly- I don't know if it is the pregnancy hormones or what but I couldn't help it. It is just perfect.

The whole set :)

Close up of the ties.

Both sides of the bumper.

The cutest bed skirt.

Last but not least...the quilt :)

With the reverse side.

It's a little hard to tell the details of the fabric prints so here is the fabrics I had it made from (minus the one 2nd from the top):

Greatest Gift EVER

Not too long ago my mom had mentioned that she had a cradle that my grandpa (who has since passed away) had made for her when I was born and that we could have it for little Henry. Well Ryan and I are in total "baby mode" now and I asked her about the cradle again to see if we could come by and get it out of the attic.
When we got over to my parent's house we found the beautiful cradle complete with the set of puppy receiving blankets I have been eyeing at Target.

This is by far my favorite baby item that we have or ever will get. It means so much to me to have something that not only my grandpa made with his own hands but also that me and my 2 sisters slept in this cradle when we were wee ones :)

The most beautiful cradle in the entire world.

My first "baby" :)

And my second "baby"

The adorable puppy blankets :)

More Nursery Progress

So Ryan and I tackled another piece of nursery furniture this weekend...the smaller dresser/changer. It is actually the perfect color but much darker than the crib- even though they are the same brand and from the same line. We are going to see how it all looks together once our bedding arrives and we get the other dresser put together. We may just stain the crib a darker color. A serious pain but if the color doesn't look right, it will seriously drive me crazy.

On another semi-negative note, the box was missing one of the knobs for the dresser. Good thing is, after sitting on hold for 30 minutes they are sending us a new knob within 10 days, no questions asked.

And it only took us 2 hours to put it together :)

Ryan is VERY excited to get started :)

Allllll the pieces...

Getting some progess...

And it's done :) Don't mind the fingerprints and missing knob :)

eBay, I love you.

Since finding out we found out we are having a little boy, I have been stalking eBay like it's no one's business. I am and will be one of "those moms" who refuses to spend lots of money on baby clothes. Chances are he will only wear each item a few times, if at all. Over the past week I have come across some awesome deals that I just couldn't pass up.

I got little Henry these brand new (with tags I might add :)) little puppy outfits...and you may be asking yourself how much I paid for these beauties...a whopping $9. Yes, $9 for all of it. I am very proud of myself.

Then I saw these and had to get them too :) Seriously the cutest socks, ever.

Baby Bump~ 22 Weeks

Holy smokes! I can't believe we are already 22 weeks along. Henry loves kicking his mommy allllll day long. I can't complain though, I don't think there is anything more amazing than feeling your baby kick :)

Anyways, here I am of this morning:

And of course Agnes was dying to get in the picture again...although this time she stood nicely instead of scratching my legs off :)
