Lesson Learned.

So yesterday I headed up to my work to show off little Holden. Everything was going just fine. I got him and myself ready and we were out the door.

Of course everyone was super excited to see us and were pretty smitten with my newest little man. We were all standing around talking when all of sudden I started to feel really warm and dizzy. The next thing I knew, I was laying on the floor with everyone standing over me asking if I was ok. Apparently I fainted [thank goodness my co-worker was holding Holden].

They had to call an ambulance as part of policy but it was pretty embarrassing as they rushed in with a stretcher and everything. They checked my blood pressure and all that...which was fine.

I know I fainted because I haven't been eating nearly enough. I am lucky if I get one actual meal a day in. I have now made it my daily mission to make sure I eat enough [I just finished a bowl of cereal :)] & I told Ryan he needs to force me to eat dinner, even if I tell him I'm not hungry.

It was a pretty scary lesson but I am glad it happened there and not when I was alone with the boys or driving!

That is scary. Thank goodness someone else was holding the baby. It must be tough to find time to eat whith two little ones, but quick foods like cereal, bp&j, and pastas salads or other pasta dishes are great for keeping in the fridge and grabbing a bowl of it when you have a second. Hope you are feeling better now!

I went to my first therapy session this week and my dr. said:

Pain is a teacher. We need pain to learn.

How true that is. I'm sorry you had to go through being soo embarassed, but I'm very glad you know to eat better now.

Yeah I remember when Kellan was first born I didn't have an appetite either. It will come back though. Start stuffing your face lady. :)

I'm glad you're ok! I can imagine how hard it is to remember to take care of yourself when you have two little ones to take care of. I hope you find a balance that works for you.

Wow..i'm glad you're okay. My sister just had a baby 2 weeks ago and she fainted the day after he was born. It was pretty scary but she's fine now!

How scary! Glad everything is ok. I had absolutely ZERO appetite for the first 3 weeks after Gianna was born. I had to force myself to eat... boy do I wish that "symptom" stayed haha. Now I force myself NOT to eat!

Ok that sounded really bad... I mean I eat too much. I don't really force myself to not eat ;)
