Nursery Progress!

The crib is up!!! Woo hoo! Ryan and his dad spent this past Sunday putting it together while Ryan's mom and I went shopping :)

After an hour and a half...this is the progress :) Apparently the directions weren't very good.

Almost done.

Ta da!!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!

Of course Agnes had to try it out :)

Elloise too :)

Now we just have to pick up the matress and wait for our custom bedding to be finished.

We are going with a rocket theme but not too theme-y. I'm not a huge fan of cheesy nursery accessories so we are having the bedding made from these fabrics. It will look awesome- I promise :)

And I ordered this (but in white) to go on the wall across from the crib, above where the changer will go once it is put together.

Stranger Comments

So I mentioned in my previous post about getting my first "stranger comment" on Friday...well this must have been the weekend of people taking notice of my growing mid-section...

Friday night~ Ryan and I were out celebrating the 25th anniversary of a family friend's bar/restaurant and the waitress asked when I was due, if we knew what we were having, etc.

Saturday~ We were both working at EI and one of our regulars came up to me and said, "I just have to ask, do you know what you are having?" Then we went on to chit chat about how hot it is going to be being 7+ months pregnant during the summer (her daughter was born in early Sept so she said she feels my future pain :))

Sunday~ Ryan and I were doing our weekly grocery shopping at Super Target and while looking at the soup an older man came right up to us and said, "Is this going to be your first?" Of course we said yes and he congratulated us and then mentioned that he was glad to see we were wearing wedding rings because it doesn't always happen in that order anymore. I thought it was so cute!

So there you have it...the world is taking notice of my ever growing baby bump :)

Baby Bump- 20 Weeks

We are halfway to baby Henry...woo hoo!!!

And since my shirt is white today, we thought it would be perfect to take the picture in the newly painted nursery instead infront of our white bathroom doors :)

AND I got my first stranger comment today!!!! Eeeeeee! I was helping a student at our window and she looks up and says, "Looks like someone is pregnant, when are you due?" So exciting! :)

Pregnancy Brain

It has taken over and has most affected my typing skills. I am usually a really good and accurate typer but lately it takes me at least 6 tried to try and type random words. As a matter of fact I have had to re-type 8 words so far in writing this. I don't know what it is but it is driving me nuts and it is making email writing a lot more time consuming :)

Our Big Boy

We had part 2 of our ultrasound today and we have a big boy on our hands. They measured each part of Henry's body, all of which were measuring ahead of the 19w4d that he "should" be at. And his little (big) belly was measuring over 2 weeks ahead! Holy smokes.

Anyways, they said overall he is measuring at 20w4d (which is a full week ahead), weighed a whopping 12 ounces and based on that my *new* due date is July 30th, although we don't have confirmation from the dr yet that they will actually move us up. Ryan says he is going off that date now :)

Here are a few of the pictures we were able to get today...and they confirmed yet again that Henry is indeed a boy :)

It's a boy!

Another "alien" shot :)

All crunched up!

This was the best we could get of a profile shot...he wouldn't budge!
