Another Dr Appt

Yesterday we had our weekly doctor's appt. We had our usual listen to Henry's heartbeat and measuring of my stomach. Well let me tell you that last week I was measuring 34 weeks...this week (a mere 7 days later) I am measuring 37 weeks!!! Yikes!

We talk a little bit to the doctor and he then informs me that he is pretty sure that Henry is at least 6 pounds right now. He said (again) that we are going to have a big baby. Now don't get wrong, I would rather have a big boy as opposed to having a dinky/wimpy one but this whole "big baby" talk is beginning to freak me out a bit. Especially since I am pretty set on having a med-free (for sure epidural free- well unless we need a c-section of course) birth.

I asked the dr if we will get a more accurate estimate of how big he is and he told me we will do that when I am a little closer to my actual due date. But he isn't convinced I will be making it the full 40 weeks with all of the contractions I have been having. Although Ryan and I are pretty sure all the early delivery talk is only jinxing us and I will end up with a 12 pound, 42 week baby :)
