A few weeks ago we made what seemed like a difficult decision to pull our kids from the daycare they had been at since Henry was 9 months old and have a nanny come to our house.
Of course I cried last Friday on the kids' last day- and so were all their teachers but as we are 3 days in to our new adventure, I'm confident that we have made the right decision for our family.
We are no longer having to wake the kids up at 6:30 and hurry out the door every morning, they get to nap in their own beds, meals and snacks are foods of their choice, they have unlimited play time outside and endless trips to the park. & even a few playdates lined up every week.
And what parent wouldn't love to pull into the driveway to see proof of the fun from the day:

We have a nanny.
While I'm sure all of us will miss the awesome teachers that took great care of our babies for the past 2 years, it sure is nice to know my kids will be learning and having fun in the comfort of our home.

How cute is that drawing! Glad you are at ease with your decison :) Can I ask what company you went through? We have thrown the idea around for about a year now.
Thanks!
Yay!!! I'm so happy it's working out :)
Awesome! We are super blessed to have my Mom come to our house and watch our kids for us!!! Nothing like leaving your house and coming home to your kids every day :)
Hi there! I'm new around here!
My little boy is in daycare and we've considered getting an any when it comes time for #2. Glad to hear you're loving it! Those chalk drawings are awesome!
I am so jealous!! That's what I'm looking for. We are currently looking for daycare options as our current situation (grandparents) are looking for a little free time for themselves. Plus, I hate waking my kiddos at 5:00am to drive them to their grandparents so I can still get to work ontime.
Can you tell me how you found your nanny? I'm in the Twin Cities area too and have found that the daycares around us don't offer 1 day or 2 day a week options that are in our budget. Any help would be appreciated!!
