Over the weekend we packed up the kids all dressed in their nice Santa/Christmas outfits and headed downtown to Macy's to see their 8th floor display then Santa and the Hollidazzle parade. Well we got there. The line was on the 4th floor. 3 kids...4 more floors of waiting...not gonna happen. Henry was dead set on seeing Santa and refused to leave the line. Until "Santa" called my sister and told him that he wasn't upstairs anymore because he was getting ready for the parade. Worked like a charm :)
We went to the parade, waved at Santa as his float came by. All was good.
But they still needed to see Santa.
So I looked up our local mall's Santa's hours and we headed out Monday after dinner. Their website said it was 'pet night' but I really didn't think too many folks would actually bring their pets to the mall to see Santa. I.Was.Wrong. Cats and dogs everywhere.
Which resulted in this:
& we had to tell the kids to tell Santa what they wanted, he didn't even ask. At any rate, Henry wants an icee machine and Holden wants a baseball bat. Easy enough :)
Next year we'll be planning our Santa trip a bit better :)

We went to that same Santa and Henry said to me "Mom, why isn't Santa happy?"... :-/ He was pleasant though when we go up to him but, I think it's about time he hangs it up, if a 3 year old is noticing his crabbiness...
cute! I still love it and it makes for a great story!
What is wrong with Santa this year? Our was crabby too. He didn't say two words!
