Hardest Mommy Task To Date...

...letting our daycare provider know that Henry will no longer be going to her house. & I couldn't even call because I have been crying about it all day. I sent her an email this morning & I feel like such a chicken. How am I supposed to talk to her on the phone when I can't even write an email without tears streaming down my face?!?

I know it will be the best for Henry and our family but it doesn't make it any less hard. She didn't do her job the way we felt she should- she didn't have "time" to rock my little baby to sleep for his naps, she very quickly jumped to tell us how fussy he had been & never reminded us of the good times, the list goes on. I know this is the best thing for us but it still doesn't take the guilt away from me- darn you, mom, for passing on your "guilt about everything" to me!

We are very excited about Henry's new adventure with one of my good friends, Jeanie, who I know will take such wonderful care of my little boy.

It still sucks.

We have a tooth!!

So last night after picking Henry up from daycare I started feeling around his mouth like I do everynight...hoping to find the tooth that has turned my sleeping baby into a not so sleeping baby.

And wouldn't you know it....I FOUND THE TOOTH LAST NIGHT!!! I was cheering and jumping around the living room...Henry was lauging and smiling at his mom being a complete dork.

It was clearly a very exciting night at our house :)

* I am going to try and get a picture of this cutie tooth tonight!

It's a duck tub.

Since Henry is now sitting up on his own we thought it would be the perfect time to bring out his duck tub that we recieved as a shower gift.

Trying it out in the bedroom first.

Loving it.

Looks like we have a new bathtime routine :)

Happy 5 Months Henry!

Our little boy is already 5 months old!!! I was hoping for a simple smile, but Henry had other ideas. This must be the month of many faces :)

Henry is now:

~ able sit up completely unassisted.

~sleeping an average of 11 hours at night- woo hoo!

~eating 2 meals of solids per day.

~18.2 pounds according to our home digital scale.

~ moving around in his crib while sleeping.

~"attacking" the dogs whenever he sees them.

I can't wait to see what the next few months will bring :)

I've Been Tagged

Thanks to Mrs.F I have been tagged to share 10 honest things about myself/life.

1. I have bionic senses. I really do, ask Ryan. I can hear or smell something from opposite ends of the house or on different levels. I can't tell you how many times I have "yelled" at Ryan to stop chewing so loud downstairs as I am sitting up in our bedroom. I think it is a curse.

2. I am completely addicted to cheese. Any kind of cheese. I think it is a small gift from God given straight to me.

3. I don't cook or clean. Another gift from God. I just don't like it & luckily I married a clean freak who doesn't mind cooking. I imagine I will begin cooking more once Henry is big enough to eat people food but for now I am loving my Taco Bell and frozen pizzas :)

4. I believe I was Clara Congdon in a past life & I am obsessed with the Glensheen Mansion in Duluth, MN. We have even dedicated a room in our house to it (our front sitting room). It is the most beautiful, magical place on Earth.

5. I write people out of my life very quickly. If I am treated badly or something I can very easily stop being friends that very second. I would rather have 3 awesome friends then 15 not so awesome friends. Ryan and I struggle with our definition of friends quite often.

6. I think Henry is the cutest baby ever born. Every mom says this but he really is :)

7. I would kill to have a nose job. I seriously hate my nose...I don't mind the shape of it so much, I just wish it was much smaller!

This is much harder than I thought it would be...

8. I hate living in Minnesota...I begged Ryan to move out of state before we got married but he just couldn't do it. One day we will move where there is no ice or snow.

9. I am very crafty & I love sewing. If I can make it instead of buying it, I will. I think it is pretty cool that Henry (& other babies) can wear and use things that I have made. :)

10. I have a new obsession with the Twins baseball team. I don't know what it is but I have to watch them if they are on.

Now I have to tag a few more bloggers...

2009 in Pictures

As we said goodbye to 2009 we found it very fitting to recap the single year that changed our lives forever. As everyone knows we found out we were expecting in late November of 2008...the rest is what follows :) (& the first half of the year is lacking some pictures as our compter lost a ton of pics) :(

Little Renny was growing.

And so was I (17 weeks)

We found out Renny was really Henry instead of Lucy :)

We started his nursery.

We celebrated our first wedding anniversary.

And I was still growing.

About to pop at 39 weeks.

I went into labor on my due date, August 6th.

Almost 23 hours later, Henry Ryan Semans was born.

A few weeks later, we headed to the State Fair.

@ 4 weeks old, Henry needed surgery.

We went to Henry's first Twins game.

Celebrated Halloween with our little Hot Dog :)

Henry was baptized.

Celebrated Thanksgiving.

Had a blast on Christmas.

And has turned into the cutest boy I know.

Here's to 2010...a year that is sure to be full of fun and suprises ;)
