This is totally a high-five to myself post...haha.
I made a deal with myself that I want to nurse Holden until he is at least 6 weeks old- now that may not sound like very long to some of you but with my short nursing experience with Henry [which I still have extreme guilt about] this is huge for me.
Well I made it and we are still going strong. And thankfully we haven't had to supplement at all so far and with all my pumping we have an 80+ ounce stash in the freezer started for when I go back to work...which hopefully will only continue to grow.
I will say it has been HARD and full of moments where all I wanted to do was sleep and tell Ryan to go get a bottle of formula...where I have cried because my boobs felt like were on fire...but I have stuck with it and I am determined to give him only breastmilk until he is at least 6 months.
I can say [as silly as it may sound] that this is seriously one of my greatest accomplishments and I am so thankful that things are totally different this time around.
I will add that this is by no means a "breastfeeding is better than formula" post & I don't care how you feed your baby as long as your babe is fed. Heck, Henry got mostly formula and he is a pretty awesome kid :)

Good for you!! Breastfeeding is HARD! But so worth it! You should be proud of yourself! Congratulations!
Yeah! It only gets easier from here. You'll miss the cuddling that you get with him by breastfeeding when he's older. It's something that you'll never look back on and say, "I wish I never breastfed." You know! Soon enough we'll be hearing about your 6 month milestone!
Congratulations...that is fantastic!!
Congrats!! I'm so glad it's working out for you the second time around. With my daughter I developed awful fevers (like 104 degress) when my milk came in and I continued getting those fevers on and off for days until my milk supply was pretty shot. Someday with our next child I am hoping to nurse for a year....but we will see!
Wonderful accomplishment!
That's great. I wish I could have breastfed Kellan, but my milk never came in. I was so disappointed and hope that #2 that I will be able to give it another shot. Kudos for sticking it out.
::high fives Jenny::
So proud of you, that is really an awesome accomplishment!
I know everyone has their own opinions and tips and tricks. But can you post any thoughts on what made it work for you this time? We are expecting our first and I have a lot of "quit" in me (ha) ...so I'll take any helpful advice I can get!
Jenny, that is awesome!! Way to go, Momma!
Congrats!! What an amazing accomplishment! Keep on going Momma you can do it!
BF is hard!! Great Job!!
That is great! Especially given your last experience. You should be really proud! And the previous poster was right - it only gets easier from here.
