I was ripped off!

Well kind of.


You could say it's our own fault & the saying "you get what you pay for" totally rings true right about now!

We have been wanting to get Henry [& Holden] a play kitchen for awhile now- ya know cause he sees me slaving away in the kitchen all the time- haha! we all know that's a lie. Anyways, we wanted to get the boys a kitchen, Henry seems to gravitate to the play kitchens when they are around so we thought it would be perfect.

We were out shopping at Mall of America [shocker!] and ran into the Toys R Us Express store and saw a play kitchen for only $22!!! We scooped it up right away and thought it was going to be the best thing ever!


So yesterday my sister & I decided we would take the time to put together this awesome kitchen- I mean we have put together a dresser before, surely we could manage a plastic kitchen :)



Of course my little handy man wanted to help too :)

You know you're in trouble when you have to break the pieces apart from each other...eeeek!

While Hannah [my sister] was peacefully holding the babe and breaking apart our million pieces...

Henry got quite the surprise when he woke up from his nap...

Of course he went right for the fake phone...

So while this looks like a pretty cool kitchen...it's not so much. It's small and we had to prop it up against the wall so it didn't fall over when Henry tried to open the doors. It's super thin plastic and a total crappy waste of $22. But really...what were we thinking we were going to get ::sigh::

Thankfully Grandma [my mom] has offered to get the boys an actual nice kitchen for Christmas and we will bring this one to their house for their play room.

Next time I need to remember...if it seems like too good to be true...it probably is!
