you find out your little boy took his first steps while you were at stupid work. :(
Apparently Henry was playing outside...stood up...and took 3 whole steps. I'm glad my friend told me because I really do want to know about stuff like that even if I miss it but it didn't stop me from calling Ryan hysterically bawling because I missed such a huge event in his little life.
I do realize this very well could have happened while my mom or sister was watching him & I was running errands or something but it didn't. I was at work. For some reason it just feels like it's worse.
Ok enough complaining...let's just hope Henry decides he wants to show off his new skills for us this weekend :)

I know what you mean! I didn't miss her first steps but I missed when she rolled over for the first time and pulled herself up to a stand. I just try to tell myself that she could have done those things while I was taking a shower. And even though we miss the first time they do something, when we do see them do it, it will be the first time for us.

Yeah... I missed his first steps and just last week he signed the word "please" to my husband for the first time... which I had been working on getting him to say!

I admire you going to work full time and still being able to take care of you family and household! I'm sure you'll have many more 'firsts' to come! :)
