They have sucked me right into their adorable holiday cards.
I never used to think about sending out Valentine's Day cards, but now that I have 2 little boys who I love to show off- I can't help myself!
I guess it's also be because my whole vision of Valentine's Day has changed...I used to think about it for weeks wondering what gift my boyfriend would get me and what fun place we would go to celebrate. Now...I can't wait to make my wee Henry [& Holden next year] heart shaped pancakes and sandwiches with pink strawberry milk. I would love a homemade card from my husband and a nice dinner filled with conversation about anything other than poopy diapers and spit up. Oh how times have changed but I can' honestly say I don't think I would trade it for anything.
But one thing really hasn't changed...a nice card sent in the real snail mail really does make any day [especially Valentine's Day] that much more special. It's also a great way to capture a memory- I am a card saving freak. I really should throw them away but I just can't part with them. I mean someone took the time to send it, I can't just toss it out.
Our Valentine's Card this year...[that's obviously not us...haha!]. I am making the boys the most adorable bow ties...hopefully they turn out as cute as I have them in my mind!
