Weekend Recap.

To say this weekend didn't quite go as planned is an understatement- which is something we have learned to go with lately.

Unfortunately on Saturday, my dad was admitted to the hospital and will be there until tomorrow at the earliest. We had planned on going to a family friend's annual 4th of July BBQ yesterday but being the overly emotional women that we are [me, my mom & sisters], we decided not to go to the BBQ because we would likely cry the whole time.

Instead, Ryan & I started our 4th of July celebration by sorting the boys' clothes. & holy smokes, I had no idea they had so much clothes. This does not include the 3-4 large bins we have of wee baby clothes.




After all of the sorting was complete, I went and visited my dad at the hospital for a few hours while Ryan stayed back with the boys. He was much more alert & didn't seem to be as affected by the meds he is on so it made for a much less emotional visit.

I was happy to receive a text from a great friend asking if we wanted to get together for the afternoon. It was exactly what I needed to keep my mind off of things. We headed to a local fair for a little BINGO & cheese curds. We didn't stay too long because it was like a sauna out there & for 2 pregnant women, it wasn't the best conditions. But we had fun & then headed back to our house for a little BBQ.



















Overall it was a good day...I wish we would have been able to spend it with my dad but it doesn't always work out the way you want it to.
