Potty Training: Our Next Step

We have been pretty lax with the whole potty training situation & have let Henry take the lead. He is still pretty young but was showing great interest in not only going into the bathroom with us but also sitting on the toilet himself.

I can say that as of the last few weeks, Henry has been a potty rock star. At daycare he is staying dry all day [minus poppy diapers- we are still working on that one] and asks to go potty as soon as he needs to go.

There's only one problem...he doesn't want to wear underwear. He either wants his diaper or to be naked.

So I came up with a solution that I am hoping works...



That's right. Man sized- child looking undies. So our new plan of attack is for Ryan to wear his new undies around the house to show Henry that undies are cool and hopefully make him want to wear them.

Ryan did slip them on last night and within seconds, Henry ran to his undie stack and tried to put on a pair of his over his jammies...so I think it's a step in the right direction.

We'll see how this weekend and the Captain America undies go! :)

Oh yes and it's Holden's 1st birthday party this weekend- I still have tons to do but I'm pretty excited for all his Dr. Seuss fun! But don't even talk to me about my wee baby turning 1 on the 30th. :(
